O b Bockwurst-, Haifisch- oder Kakteen-Motiv: Poppig-farbenfroh und unverkrampft-
humorvoll müssen die Unter wäsche-Kollektionen des Modelabels Cotton Republic
sein! Ebenso schrill wie das Waren angebot sollte nun auch der neue Flagship-Store in
Peking werden. Mar cella Campa und Ste fa no Avesani von Ramo primo fanden für diese
Entwurfsaufgabe eine auf zwei Seiten offene, gut 60 Quadratmeter große Ladenfläche in
einer weitläufigen Shop pingmall vor. Um trotz der geringen Fläche eine große Waren -
band breite publikumswirksam zu zeigen, entwickelten die Architekten eine signifikante
Shop fassade, die gleichzeit ig als permanente Schaufenstergestaltung und Waren dis play
fungiert. Ent stan den ist eine dreidimensionale, korbähnliche Raumhülle aus pink, rot,
gelb und oran ge lackierten Rechteckrohren. Die luftige Ringkonstruktion umschließt einen
im Vergleich zum übrigen Mall -Geschoss hohen Verkaufsraum und bietet von außen wie
innen gleichermaßen gut einsehbare Möglichkeiten der Waren präsentation. Für eine sai-
sonal passende Bespielung des Stores sorgt eine großflächige Monitorwand im Ein -
gangsbereich. Der übrige Raum bleibt — bis auf eine Ste le zur separaten Auf hängung von
Strumpfwaren — als Verkehrs fläche frei. Stele und Boden sind dabei mit einem Werkstoff
aus Kunstharz belegt, dessen individuelles Muster durch das händische Ver mischen von
flüssigem Harz in den Farbtönen Weiß, Grau und Schwarz entstanden ist.

W hether sausage, shark or cactus motif: the underwear collections of the
Cotton Republic fashion label have to be trendy-colourful and relaxed-
humorous!The new flagship store in Beijing will be as fancy as the available range
of goods. For this design task, Marcella Campa and Stefano Avesani from Ramoprimo
had to work with a 60-square shop area with two open sides, located in a spacious
shopping mall. To effectively present the broad range of products despite the limited
floor area,the architects developed a distinctive shop façade, which simultaneously
serves as permanent shop window design and goods display. The result is a three-
dimensional, basket-like spatial envelop made of rectangular tubes, which are paint-
ed pink, red, yellow and orange. The airy ring structure surrounds a, compared to
the mall level, high sales room and provides well-visible goods presentation options
on boththe inside and outside. A large monitor wall in the entrance area allows a
decoration of the store in accordance with the season. The rest of the room – except
for astele used for the separate presentation of socks - remains free to serve as cir-
culation area. Stele and floor are covered with a resin material, whose individual
pattern was created through a manual mixing process of liquid resin with the colours
white, grey and black.
