Die obersten zwei Geschosse – Penthouse One-11 • The top two storeys
C tiyLife gilt als eines der größten europäischen Projekte zur inner-
städtischen Nachver dichtung. Bereits seit 2009 entstehen auf
dem ehemaligen Mailänder Messegelände hochwertige Wohn- und
Büro gebäude nach Entwürfen von Arato Isozaki, Daniel Libeskind und
Zaha Hadid. Von Letzterer stammt auch der Entwurf des achtgeschos-
sigen Gebäu des, das mit einer zweigeschossigen, 300 Quadratmeter
großen Pent house wohnung abschließt. Der exponierten Lage und dem
grandiosen Ausblick geschuldet ist sicherlich die extravagante Ausstat -
tung nach Entwürfen von Rudi Manfrin von Trestudio di Architettura.
Passend zu den fließenden Raum strukturen wählte der Architekt als
Boden- und Wandbelag Holzpaneele aus der Kollektion Slide Natural
Genius von Listone Gior dano. Basierend auf einem Rechteck, das in
die Form eines Dia man ten transferiert wurde, können die Paneele –
anders als herkömmliche Parkett for mate – so lange gedreht und einge-
passt werden, bis ein höchst individuelles Verlegemuster entstanden
ist. Verbunden werden die zwei Geschosse des Penthouses mit einer
einläufigen Treppe von Fontanot, dem Modell LaFont Fascia, das sich
perfekt in das Interior einfügt. Dazu wurde die Oberfläche der stähler-
nen Wangen den weiß verputzten Decken und Wänden angepasst, die
massiven Stufen erhielten einen dunklen Eiche-Ton analog zum
Boden belag und das Geländer aus laminiertem Floatglas unterstreicht
wirkungsvoll den leichten, schwebenden Charakter der Treppe. ps

Milan exhibition grounds very much high-quality residential- and
office buildings according to plans by Arato Isozaki, Daniel Libeskind
and Zaha Hadid are being constructed. Hadid also designed the eight-
storey building ending in a two-level penthouse apartment measu-
ring 300 square metres. No doubt also owed to the exposed location
and the magnificent view are the extravagant furnishings according to
designs by Rudi Manfrin from Trestudio di Architettura. To go with the
flowing spatial structures, the architect chose wooden boards from
the Slide Natural Genius Collection from Listone Giordano as the floo-
ring and the wall covering. Unlike traditional parquet formats, these
boards based on a rectangle transformed into the shape of a dia-
mond can be rotated and fitted until a highly individual laying pat-
tern is produced. The two levels of the penthouse are linked by a sin-
gle-flight staircase from Fontanet, the LaFont Fascia model, which
perfectly suits the interior. For this purpose, the surface of the steel
stringers was matched to the white-plastered ceilings and walls; the
nated float glass very effectively emphasize the lightweight, hovering
solid steps were given a dark oak shade and the bannisters of lami-
look of the staircase.
