Kunst und Innenarchitektur

Noch bis Ende November findet in Venedig die 60. Internationale
Kunstausstellung Biennale Arte statt. Das diesjährige Thema, kuratiert
von Adriano Pedrosa, lautet „Stranieri Ovunque“ (Überall Fremde).
Rund 330 KünstlerInnen, überwiegend migrantische und indigene
Menschen, machen das Fremde vertraut. Während manche Länder-
pavillons weitgehend unverändert als einfache Ausstellungsfläche
genutzt werden, lösen manche der KünstlerInnen die Architektur in
den Giardini von ihrer Starre und schaffen so neue Konnotationen.

The 60 International Art Exhibition Biennale Arte is taking place
in Venice until the end of November. This year’s theme, curated
by Adriano Pedrosa, is Stranieri Ovunque (Foreigners Everywhe-
re). Approximately 330 artists, mainly migrants and indigenous
people, are familiarizing visitors with what is foreign. While some
country pavilions are used largely unchanged as a simple exhibi-
tion space, several of the artists liberate the architecture in the 2 Fotos: Timothy Schenck
Giardini from its rigidity and thus create new connotations.
