A lle warten und hoffen auf den Sommer – passionierte Italien-
Urlauber ebenso wie italienische Gastgeber! In wenigen Wochen
will das Maréna Beach wiedereröffnen. Das Bar-Restaurant liegt knapp
25 Kilometer südlich von Ravenna, in erster Reihe am Strand der Adria.
Das familiäre Team um Giacomo, Lisa und Mattia bereitet alles vor, „um
dich glücklich zu machen, vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen.“ So steht
es auf der Homepage! Und ein Blick auf die Fotos der Pasta und Meeres-
früchte, der Mitarbeiter und des Interieurs genügt, um diesem Verspre-
chen Glauben zu schenken. Die Lage am Lido di Savio – Maréna bedeutet
im Dialekt der Emilia-Romagna Yachthafen – spiegelt sich auch in den
Innenräumen wider, die Gruppo Lithos Architettura neu gestaltete. Blau
und Weiß, die Farben des Meeres, seiner Wellen und Schaumkronen,
verleihen dem Maréna Beach maritimes Flair. Den Boden der Rezeption
prägt Feinsteinzeug in Majolika-Optik aus der Scenario-Kollektion von
Marazzi. Das kreisförmig verlegte, blau-weiße Dekor wird eingefasst von
einem strahlend blauen Rand. Scenario ist eine von sieben Keramik- und
Feinsteinzeugkollektionen im Kleinformat, die dem Crogiolo-Projekt ent-
stammen. Mit diesem will der italienische Architek tur kera mik spezialist
tradierte Handwerkskünste zeitgemäß interpretieren. Interessant ist
auch die Wandgestaltung: Die Terrakotta-Hohlziegel namens Celosia sind
ein Entwurf von Patricia Urquiola für Mutina. Alles vor Ort selbst zu be-

E veryone is waiting and hoping for summer — holidaymakers passio-
nate about Italy just as much as Italian hosts! The Maréna Beach
plans to reopen in a few weeks. The bar-restaurant is located about 25
kilometres south of Ravenna, directly facing the beach of the Adriatic Sea.
The familiar team around Giacomo, Lisa and Mattia is eager to prepare
everything “to make you happy, from breakfast to dinner.” That’s what it
says on the homepage! One look at the photos of the pasta and seafood,
of the staff and the interior is enough to believe this promise. The location
on Lido di Savio — Maréna means marina in Emilia-Romagna dialect — is
also reflected in the interiors, redesigned by Gruppo Lithos Architettura.
Blue and white, the colours of the sea, its waves and whitecaps, give Ma-
réna Beach a maritime flair. The reception floor is characterised by majo-
lica-style porcelain stoneware from the Scenario collection by Marazzi.
The blue and white décor, laid in a circular pattern, is framed by a radiant
blue border. Scenario is one of seven ceramic and porcelain stoneware
collections featuring small-format tiles that originate from the Crogiolo
project. With this project, the Italian architectural ceramics specialist
wants to interpret traditional crafts in a contemporary way. The wall de-
sign is also interesting: the Celosia partition elements made of terracotta
were designed by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina. Everything can be exami-
ned on site — hopefully — from this summer onwards.
