to a minimum so as not to create competition. WeWantMore knows what clear, unmi-
stakable branding has to look like. The interdisciplinary studio proved their skills in
this respect not least with their design for Le Grand Café in Brussels, where drag
queens served as the design leitmotif. (AIT 1/2-2021, Forum).
Experiencing with all senses
With so much local character, it’s no surprise that the cuisine at Château de Vignée is
also committed to the region. Chef Kwinten Boelen, Gault & Millau debutant, creates a
“terroir-inspired” cuisine with local ingredients from the hotel’s own greenhouse and ve-
getable garden. The corresponding wines are stored in the circular wine cellar underne-
ath the castle’s inner courtyard. Incidentally, WeWantMore had devised its own format
to bridge the lean spell during the Corona lockdown and to offer a foretaste of Château
de Vallée. In cooperation with Belgian-Swedish director Björn Tagemose, they created the
short film “The Dream”. “Tagemose’s trailer skilfully transfers the magic of the photo-
graphs of Château de Vignée into the world of moving images and makes it possible for
the viewer to experience the castle in an emotional way for a short moment,” says Ruud
Belmans. Hotels like this one in the Belgian Ardennes awaken and satisfy the longing to
travel and stay in foreign places. Why fly halfway around the world for that? Belgium is
so close. At Château de Vignée, the pleasure of relaxation and the pleasure of good taste
— sensual, architectural and culinary — can be combined in the most pleasant way. Not
to mention the new desire for the forest mentioned at the beginning ... Grundriss Erdgeschoss • Ground floor plan
