A SAP2 Lib, CANoe, DYNA4, vCDM ... Das Produktangebot von Vector Informatik hin-
terlässt bei Laien vermutlich ausschließlich Fragezeichen. Das weltweit agierende
Unternehmen entwickelt Elektronik für Automobile: Soft- und Hardware wie zum Beispiel
Fahrassistenten oder autonome Fahrzeuge. Isabell Ehring nahm die Herausforderung an,
den industriellen Arbeitsplätzen des mittelständischen Unternehmens mehr Menschlich-
keit einzuhauchen! „Spannend und herausfordernd, aber unglaublich faszinierend“, er-
klärt die Stuttgarter Innenarchitektin. „Industriearbeitsplätze - ein Thema, das für mich
völlig neu war und das ich erst einmal ‚erlernen‘ musste!“ Auf einer 350 Quadratmeter
großen Pilotfläche werden individuell entworfene Arbeitstische, die den komplexen ergo-
nomischen Anforderungen entsprechen, eingesetzt. Die verwendete Profiltechnik zieht
sich als roter Faden durch die Gestaltung – die Profile finden ebenso in den beweglichen
Kommissionierungswagen, den Strauraummöbeln und der Deckengestaltung Anwen-
dung. Letztere ist ein echter Game Changer für die Produktion: Um eine bedürfnisorien-
tierte Flächenplanung zu gewährleisten, wird die komplette Technik flexibel positionier-
bar über die Decke installiert. So lässt der Raum diverse Nutzungen und Abläufe zu, wie
etwa kleine Arbeitsinseln oder eine große Produktionsstraße. Eingetaucht in ein mono-
chromes Grau liegt der Fokus auf dem Inhalt der Arbeit: farbige Kabel und Werkzeuge!

bly leaves laymen wondering. The globally active company develops and produ-
ces electronics for automobiles: software and hardware such as driver assistance sy-
stems or autonomous vehicles. Isabell Ehring accepted the challenge to breathe more
humanness into the industrial workplaces of the medium-sized company! “Exciting
and challenging, but incredibly fascinating,” explains the Stuttgart-based interior de-
signer. “Industrial workplaces – a subject that was completely new to me and that I
first had to ‘learn’!” Individually designed work tables that meet complex ergonomic
requirements are used in a 350-square-metre pilot area. The profile technology used
is a common thread throughout the design – the profiles are also used in the mobile
order picking trolleys, the storage furniture and the ceiling design. The latter is a real
game changer for the production process: in order to ensure needs-oriented space
planning, the entire technology is installed on the ceiling so it can be flexibly positio-
ned. This allows the room to be used for various purposes and processes, such as
small work islands or large production lines. Immersed in a monochrome grey, the
focus is on the content of the work: the coloured cables and tools!
