spotlights, which provide an enveloping room light by reflecting the light on the floor.
The same type of luminaire is used as track-mounted spotlights on the attic or gal-
lery level. The power tracks were elegantly mounted between the wooden lamellas
of the interior cladding. The walls were clad with the same wooden lamellas used
on the exterior façade in order to dissolve the boundaries between the interior and
exterior. Another reason for the choice of this wall cladding is purely pragmatic, as
the grooved lamellas, which are backed with mineral wool and black acoustic mats
for use in the interior, absorb the high sound reflections of the large glass surfaces
and the concrete floor covered with smoothed and sealed cement screed.

... serves the architectural office as a showpiece
The creation of a feel-good ambience for the employees was particularly important to
w:architekten, because they are convinced of the motivating power of such an environ-
ment, which ultimately inspires the success of a company. At the same time, the archi-
tects, who specialize in commercial and administrative construction, were able to create
a prestigious building that also offers potential clients an insight into the concept of
open structures as an essential organisational and design feature of the architectural of-
fice. This free and communicative concept, in which zones for informal exchange have
as much room as community and meeting rooms, promotes communication within the
teams and, with four discreet, rather dark zones, simultaneously offers space for retreat. Schnitt • Section
