trol system that can be operated by tablet, mobile phone or voice control. In addition
to the flexible positioning of the furniture, we have designed pre-set scenarios – for
what we consider to be the most frequently used room configurations – that not only
move the furniture and beds into position but also control the lighting in the flat.

The command “to sleep” separates the walls to form two bedrooms, the beds are 4,2 m 2 4,2 m 2

lowered and the lighting is dimmed and switched to indirect light. By giving the com-

mand “all living room”, the furniture is folded back, the walls are moved to the back
of the room and the light intensity is increased. We use the flat In Madrid to show-
case our sustainable housing model and to demonstrate how it can be adapted to
every phase and moment in life thanks to reconfigurable spaces. And to show how

energy efficiency, accessibility of rooms and work-life balance. The pandemic has
highlighted the need for radical change in housing. The combination of family life
and teleworking has clearly revealed that the current housing concept is not parti-
