LAUFEN SPACE IN BERLIN
mit Sanitärobjekten von Laufen
with sanitary objects by Laufen
Do-

rent approach with its branch in Berlin. The innovative SaphirKeramik
specialist has opened the Laufen Space in an old building in the ele-
gant Charlottenburg district. The name Space already signals the dif-
ference to the classic showroom. The space, which was designed by
Konstantin Grics, is intended to be a place for events, talks and video
installations. The focus is on dialogue with interested parties and cus-
tomers. Three elements determine the concept: a large shelf, an LED
display, while the rest is a freely usable, flexible space. The Laufen
Space is dominated by an impressive, 12-metre-long and three-metre-
high industrial shelf. The range of Laufen sanitary objects is displayed
on three levels. The shelf is an archive, warehouse and product dis-
play all in one. Opposite is a metal wall construction on which the sa-
nitary objects stored on the shelf can be playfully hung and unhung.
Washbasins and WCs along with the company's fittings can be com-
bined here as desired on a 1:1 scale. As a counterpoint to this analo-
gue area, a six-square-metre LED wall is installed in the showroom, a
virtual window into the future embedded in a black frame. Two large
