Der libanesische Architekt Jad El Khoury arbeitet seit 2015 als Künst-
ler und studiert derzeit Art and Public Space in Oslo. Er erfand die
Figur Potato Nose und machte mit seiner Fassadenkunst auf die
Kriegsschäden in seiner Heimat Beirut aufmerksam. In seinen Arbei-
ten mit verlassenen und zerstörten Häusern zeigt sich seine nach
wie vor hohe Affinität zum Thema Architektur. Jad El Khourys Popu-
larität in der Urban-Art-Szene mündete auch in eine Kooperation
mit dem kunstaffinen Schweizer Uhrenlabel Swatch.

Lebanese architect Jad El Khoury has been working as an artist
since 2015 and is currently studying Art and Public Space in Oslo.
He invented the Potato Nose doodles and drew attention to the Foto: Elie Abou Jaoude, Beirut; Projektkooperation: Art of Change
war damage inflicted on his native city of Beirut with his facade
art. His artworks on abandoned and destroyed houses show his
still high affinity for the subject of architecture. Jad El Khoury’s po-
pularity in the urban art scene also resulted in a cooperation with
Swatch, the Swiss watch label with an affinity for art.
