Johanne und Gernot Nalbach wurden Mitte der 1980er-Jahre durch
ihre Hotelprojekte bekannt. 1993 eröffneten sie mit dem Seehotel am
Neuklostersee ihr eigenes Hotel, 2010 folgte das Kavaliershaus Schloss
Blücher am Finckener See. Beides sind traumhafte Urlaubsziele an der
Mecklenburgischen Seenplatte, in behutsam sanierter historischer
Bausubstanz und neu hinzugefügten Elementen. Wie wird man von
der Architektin zur Hotelbetreiberin? Das fragten wir das Mutter-Toch-
ter-ArchitektInnen-Gespann Johanne und Lena Nalbach.

Johanne and Gernot Nalbach first gained recognition in the mid-1980s
for their hotel projects. In 1993, they opened their own establish-
ment – the Seehotel at Neuklostersee – followed in 2010 by the Kava-
liershaus Schloss Blücher on Lake Fincken. Both are idyllic holiday
destinations in the Mecklenburg Lake District, combining carefully
restored historical buildings with sensitively added elements. How do
