sign Capital? “For one thing, Valencia impresses with a lively design community which
brings together designers from all creative disciplines in an intensive exchange,” says
Corinna Heilmann, programme director of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022. “In
addition, the entire region is characterised by a rich cultural heritage. It is home to nu-
merous companies that have invested in craftsmanship, creativity and innovation over
the centuries – from ceramics and porcelain to leather and textiles through to furniture.”
For those visiting Valencia on the occasion of the World Design Capital 2022, Corinna
Heilmann recommends the Àgora València on Plaça de l'Ajuntament as a starting point
for exploring the city: “This temporary pavilion brings together all the information on
the wide-ranging programme in one place.”
