Die zwei neuesten Gästezimmer entstanden jüngst im Dachgeschoss. Geschlafen wird in einem eingestellten Alkoven. • The two latest guest rooms recently added on the top floor. An integrated alcove is for sleeping.
Seit mehr als zehn Jahren empfängt Bettina Klein auf ihrem Gutshof
an der Ostsee Gäste. Die kamen zuerst wegen des kleinen Cafés in
der alten Schmiede, dann wegen des Museums in der Beletage des
Gutshauses und schließlich wegen der Gästezimmer drumherum.
Den langsamen Ausbau begleitete von Anfang an der New Yorker Ar-
chitekt Alex Schweder – unterstützt durch Clemens Klein, den Sohn
der Gutshofbesitzerin. Mit den jüngst fertiggestellten Dachausbauten
ist das Ensemble aus Kranich-Hotel, -Museum und -Café komplett.
For over ten years, Bettina Klein has welcomed guests in her
manor on the Baltic Sea. At first, they came for the little café in the
old forge, then for the museum on the bel etage of the manor
house, and finally because for the guest rooms. From the begin-
ning, the New York architect Alex Schweder has overseen the slow
reconstruction – assisted by Clemens Klein, the son of the manor’s
owner. With the recently completed roof extensions, the ensem-
ble of Kranich Hotel, museum and café has now been completed.
