Z ugegeben: Es gibt leichtere Aufgaben, als die Handschrift von Arne
Jacobsen, einem der bedeutendsten dänischen Archi tek ten des
20. Jahrhunderts, fortzuführen. Doch Aarhus Arkitekterne meistern diese
Herausforderung seit Jahren erfolgreich. Für den dänischen Arma turen -
her steller Vola, dessen minimalistisches, klares Design von Jacobsen ge -
prägt wurde, entwickelte das Architekturbüro nicht nur Gebäude wie den
Firmenhauptsitz in Horsens oder die weltweit verbreiteten Vola-Show-
rooms. Auch die Produktgestaltung liegt seit nunmehr zehn Jahren in der
Verant wortung dieses Büros. Unter dessen Regie entstand auch die runde
Kopf brause 060, die an der Decke oder Wand montiert werden kann. Mit
ihr wird das charakteristische Vola-Design fortgeführt. So bleiben die
technischen Teile verborgen: Die Düsen beispielsweise sind zurückgesetzt
und verschwinden hinter strahlenförmigen Schlitzen, die das Wasser
großflächig verteilen. Der als Kragarm dienende Rundstab ist in zwei
Längen erhältlich. Hergestellt wird die Kopf brause aus Messing oder
Edelstahl. Wahlweise ist sie in Chrom oder ge bürs tetem Edelstahl erhält-
lich. Zudem bietet Vola ein breites Spektrum an Far ben an. Die Durch -
fluss menge beträgt standardmäßig bis zu 24 Liter, beim wassersparenden
Modell hingegen 15 Liter pro Minute bei drei bar Druck. Treue beweist
Vola nicht nur bezüglich der Gestaltungssprache, sondern auch des
Produktionsstandorts: Die Armaturen und Misch bat terien mit hochwerti-
gen Basismaterialien werden nach wie vor in Dänemark gefertigt. ds

A dmittedly: There are easier tasks than to continue the style of
Arne Jacobsen, one of the most important Danish architects of
the 20th century. Yet Aarhus Arkitekterne have successfully mastered
this challenge for years. For the Danish manufacturer of fittings Vola,
whose minimalist, clear design was influenced by Jacobsen, the archi-
tectural office not only planned buildings such as the company head-
quarters or the Vola showrooms all over the world. The product design
as well has been the responsibility of this office for ten years now. It
also developed the idea of the circular head shower 060 which can be
attached to the ceiling or the wall. The head shower continues the cha-
racteristic Vola design. The technical components are thus concealed:
The jets, for instance, are recessed and disappear behind radial slits
which distribute the water over a large area. The round bar serving as
a cantilever is available in two lengths. The head shower is made of
brass or stainless steel. It can be finished in a choice of chrome or
brushed stainless steel. Vola also offers a wide range of colours. The
standard flow rate is up to 24 litres, in the water-saving model, in con-
trast, of 15 litres per minute at a pressure of 3 bar. Vola proves its loy-
alty not only when it comes to the language of design but also with its
