E igentlich sollten die Mitarbeitenden der Deutschen Flugsicherung in
München einen Neubau mit zukunftsfähigen Arbeitsplätzen erhalten.
Doch dann kam die Pandemie – der Neubau wurde verschoben, und die
Belegschaft arbeitete fortan im Homeoffice. Der Aufbruch in eine neue
Arbeitswelt soll jedoch nicht länger auf sich warten lassen. „Wenn sich
die Mitarbeitenden entscheiden zu kommen, soll damit auch ein Mehr-
wert im Büro einhergehen“, erklärt Sandra Schum, Bauingenieurin bei
der DFS. Mithilfe des Planungsbüros S+G Concepts und des Möbelher-
stellers Kinnarps gestaltete DFS eine Mietfläche, die für die nächsten fünf
Jahre Übergangslösung und Probefläche zugleich ist. Hier soll nicht nur
eine neue Arbeitskultur etabliert, sondern auch herausgefunden werden,
was für das Team gut funktioniert. Entstanden ist ein vielfältiges Bürolay-
out, das unterschiedliche Tätigkeiten ermöglicht und hybride Situationen
zulässt. Statt wie bisher in Einzelbüros finden die Mitarbeitenden in sechs
Areas eine große Auswahl an Möglichkeiten und können entscheiden, wo
und mit wem sie zusammenarbeiten möchten. Für die Testfläche setzt
Kinnarps daher auf Modulmöbel: vielfältig, flexibel und anpassungsfähig
an die Bedürfnisse der ArbeitnehmerInnen! Dank des breiten Produktport-
folios konnten effiziente Lösungen für interdisziplinären Austausch, Think
Tanks und spontane Meetings gefunden werden, die sich auch in eine
spätere Dauerlösung übertragen lassen. Das Ergebnis ist ein nachhaltiges

postponed and the employees worked in their home offices. “When
employees decide to come back to the office, this should also be con-
nected with added value,” explains Sandra Schum, civil engineer at
DFS. With the help of the planning office S+G Concepts and the furni-
ture manufacturer Kinnarps, DFS designed a rental space that is both
a temporary solution and a trial space for a period of five years. The
idea is not only to establish a new working culture but also to find out
what works well for the team. The result is a diverse office layout that
enables different activities and allows for hybrid situations. Instead
of individual offices, employees find a wide range of options and can
decide where and with whom they want to work. For the test area,
Kinnarps therefore relies on modular furniture: diverse, flexible and
adaptable to the needs of the employees! Thanks to the broad product
portfolio, it was possible to find efficient solutions for interdisciplinary
exchange, think tanks and spontaneous meetings which can also be
transferred to a permanent solution later. The result is a sustainable
concept – a value shared by all companies involved!
