E ine starke Architektursprache, die ihre Fortsetzung im Innenraum findet, ist eine be-
kannte Herausforderung in der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Architekten und Innenar-
chitekten. Allerdings kein Problem für Parat aus Hamburg, als es um die Gestaltung der
Arbeitswelt von KNSKB+ ging – deren Büroräume befinden sich nämlich in dem von J.
Mayer H. entworfenen Gebäude Ada1 an der Alster. In erster Linie sollte der Zusammen-
schluss dreier Werbe- und Marketingagenturen mit rund 180 Mitarbeitern aus verschie-
densten Kulturen und Generationen räumlich umgesetzt werden. Kernstück war die Neu-
gestaltung einer großen Freifläche als attraktiver Ort der Begegnung und des Miteinan-
ders. Verschiedene Grautöne bilden dabei den dezenten Hintergrund für die Vielfalt und
Diversität der Agenturen – Farbe bringen erst die Menschen in den Raum. Die klare For-
mensprache nimmt behutsam die dominante Deckenstruktur und die gerundeten Fen-
sterdetails auf. Auf Kommunikation und Kollaboration ist die Möblierung ausgerichtet:
Textilien beruhigen die Akustik und erleichtern den zeitgleichen Austausch an Stehtisch,
Sitzlandschaft, Arbeitswand oder Tribüne. Am Empfang stehen hochlehnige Sofas für ver-
trauliche Gespräche, im Besprechungsraum herrschen monochrome Farben und hoch-
wertige Textilien vor, ein ehemaliges Lager wird zum Rückzugsort für Telefonate. Immer
im Fokus: Mitarbeiter, die sich treffen, austauschen und gemeinsam Ideen entwickeln!

A strong architectural language that is continued in the interior is a well-known chal-
lenge in the cooperation between architects and interior designers. No problem for
Parat from Hamburg when it came to designing the working environment of KNSKB+ —
the firm's offices are located in the Ada1 building by J. Mayer H. on the lake Alster. The
primary objective was the spatial implementation of the merger of three advertising and
marketing agencies with about 180 employees from different cultures and generations.
The core element was the redesign of a large open space as an appealing place for en-
counters and getting together. Various shades of grey create a subtle background for the
variety and diversity of the agencies — it is the people that add colour to the room. The
clear design vocabulary carefully takes up the dominant ceiling structure and the arched
window details. The furnishings are geared to communication and collaboration: textiles
calm the acoustics and facilitate the simultaneous exchange at high tables, seating ar-
rangements, work wall or grandstand. Sofas with armrests for confidential conversations
are available at the reception, monochrome colours and high-quality textiles characterise
the meeting room and a former storeroom was turned into a retreat for phone calls. Al-
ways in focus: employees that meet, exchanges information and jointly develop ideas!
