W ie war noch gleich die Definition von Eklektizismus? Wir helfen auf die Sprünge:
Hierbei werden unterschiedliche Stilelemente neu zusammengefügt. Klingt ein-
fach, wenn nicht sogar unkreativ – ist es aber nicht, wie DualSpace Studio beweist: Für den
Club21 Store schufen sie ein „kuratiertes Chaos“: In der Mitte thront ein glänzender, blauer
Stein, der von OP-Leuchten angestrahlt wird, und auf einem Förderband werden die Pro-
dukte präsentiert. Während die Theke aus Jeanskissen besteht, hängt die Kleidung ordent-
lich an Stangen aus Edelstahlfedern. Gerahmt wird diese Inszenierung von einer blauen
Kletterwand, die den Raum zur Skulptur macht und einen Mix an Fragen offenlässt … jp

W hat was the definition of eclecticism again? Let us give you a hint: it involves
recombining elements from different styles. Sounds simple – perhaps even
uncreative – but it’s anything but, as DualSpace Studio demonstrates. For the Club21
store, they created a “curated chaos”: a shiny blue rock formation is the centrepiece,
dramatically lit by surgical lamps, while products are displayed on a conveyor belt. The
counter is made of denim cushions, and the clothing hangs neatly from rails made from
stainless steel springs. Framing this unusual staging is a blue climbing wall that turns
the space into a sculptural experience – and leaves a whole range of questions open …
