K leine Kunstwerke kreiert Alon Shabo. Nicht solche, die sich Kunstliebhaber an die
Wand hängen. Nein – seine präzisen, aber vergänglichen Meisterwerke sind zum
Verzehr gedacht. Der israelische Konditor ist in der Gourmetszene von Tel Aviv längst
kein Unbekannter mehr: Seine Patisserie ist für unkonventionelle Farben, Formen und
Texturen ebenso bekannt wie für außergewöhnliche Geschmackskombinationen. In
einem Ladenlokal in der Shenkin Street, gelegen in einem belebten, trendigen Viertel,
umgeben von hippen Modeboutiquen und Bohemian-Cafés, fand Alon Shabo geeig-
nete Räumlichkeiten für seine eigene Konditorei. Um seine kleinteilige Patisserie rich-
tig in Szene zu setzen, wandte er sich an das ortsansässige Planungsbüro Studio S.B.
Das Markenzeichen von Simon Barazin? Knallige Farbakzente, die ein technoides Grau
durchbrechen! Seine Gestaltung trifft den Nerv der Zeit und geht Hand in Hand mit den
modernen Interpretationen der süßen Backwaren im Store. Einfache Geometrien, klare
Linien und metallische Oberflächen in Grautönen bilden einen gelungenen Kontrast zu
den farbenfrohen, verspielten Auslagen. Einzig und allein das amorphe Sitzmöbel in
einem monochromen Blau durchbricht den minimalistischen Charakter des Raums. Das
vom Studio selbst entworfene Statement-Möbel geht nahtlos in den Außenraum über
und zieht neugierige Blicke auf sich. Eyecatcher wohin das Auge reicht!
A lon Shabo creates small works of art. Not the kind that art enthusiasts like to
hang on their walls. No – his precise but ephemeral masterpieces are meant to be
eaten. The Israeli pastry chef is no longer an insider tip in Tel Aviv’s gourmet scene: his
sophisticated pastries are renowned for their unconventional colours, shapes and tex-
tures, as well as extraordinary flavour combinations. In the retail premises on Shenkin
Street, located in a lively, trendy neighbourhood surrounded by hip fashion boutiques
and bohemian cafés, Alon Shabo found the perfect location for his own pastry shop.
To showcase his intricate pastry creations, he turned to Studio SB, a local architecture
and design studio. The trademark of Simon Barazin? Vibrant colour accents that burst
through a techno grey! His design strikes the right chord of the time and goes hand in
hand with the modern interpretations of sweet pastries in the store. Simple geometries,
clean lines and metallic grey surfaces create a successful contrast with the colourful
and playful goods on display. The only exception is the amorphous seating furniture in
a monochromatic blue, breaking the minimalist character of the space. The statement
furniture, designed by the studio itself, seamlessly extends into the outdoor space and
attracts the attention of passers-by. Eye-catching elements wherever you look!
