B ereits 2010 als Weinkellerei von dem in Brünn ansässigen Architekturbüro Burian-
Krivinka entworfen, strebten die neuen Besitzer nach einer Öffnung des bislang
für die Öffentlichkeit unzugänglichen Lagergebäudes, um Weinkenner und poten-
zielle Kunden anzulocken. Das Team von ORA brachte zwei sich gegenüberliegen-
de, großformatige Fenster in den introvertierten Baukörper ein und schuf so einen
lichtdurchfluteten Gastraum mit freier Sicht auf die Weinrebenfelder und den Stausee
Nové Mlýny. Sämtliche Oberflächen des bislang zur Weinlagerung genutzten Raumes
wurden gereinigt, ganz nach Bestandsgegebenheiten in nacktem Beton belassen und
durch eine weinrot melierte Polyurethanbeschichtung des Bodens ergänzt. Zur Weinbar
umfunktioniert wird der Raum erst durch sein Mobiliar, das eigens für das Gut Reisten
entworfen wurde. Alle Einrichtungsgegenstände sind aus Stahl und Eichenholz in ver-
schiedenen Beiztönen gefertigt. Als Anziehungspunkt im Raum entstand eine ellipsen-
förmige Deckeninstallation zur Hängung von Gläsern. Horizontale Holzlattungen am
Tresen sowie an den Bankrückenlehnen sorgen zudem für eine verbesserte Akustik. Die

A lready designed as a winery in 2010 by the Brno-based architectural firm Burian-
Krivinka, the new owners sought to open up the original warehouse building,
previously inaccessible to the public, to attract wine connoisseurs and potential custo-
mers. The ORA team inserted two large-format windows, which are facing each other,
into the introverted structure, thus creating a light-flooded guest room that offers an
unobstructed view of the vineyards all around and the Nové Mlýny reservoir. The
complete surfaces of the room previously used for wine storage have been cleaned,
left in bare concrete according to the existing conditions and were supplemented with
a wine-red mottled polyurethane coating on the floor. The room is only transformed
into a wine bar by its new items of furniture, which have been specifically designed
for the Reisten estate. All the furnishings are made of steel and oak wood in various
stains. An elliptical ceiling installation for hanging glasses was designed as a point of
attraction in the room. Horizontal wooden slats mounted at the counter as well as on
the backrests of the benches also ensure improved acoustics. The protagonists of the
