V on Weinbergen umgeben, geht Winzer Lukas Jahn auf dem Locknbauer Hof seiner
Passion der Weinproduktion nach. Der Ort des Geschehens ist ein durch Mascha
Ritter saniertes Hofensemble mit drei Gebäuden, das sowohl Produktion, Fuhrpark und
Verkostung als auch privates Wohnen zusammenführt. Dreh- und Angelpunkt des Betrie-
bes ist das ehemalige Langhofgebäude: Weitestgehend neu aufgebaut, findet hier die Pro-
duktion, die Fasslagerung, der Weinverkauf und ein sogenannter Buschenschank Platz.
Letzterer ist ein traditionelles Weinlokal, das beim Locknbauer als Tapasbar mit Weinbe-
gleitung aus eigenem Anbau verstanden wird. Um die Vinothek darüber hinaus für Grup-
penverkostungen und andere Bewirtungsevents zu ertüchtigen, entstand ein Gastraum,
der die Kubatur des Langhauses voll ausnutzt und neben dem Hauptraum über eine
bestuhlte Galerie und eine im ersten Obergeschoss befindliche Showküche mit Blick in
die Produktion verfügt. Weitere großzügige Fassadenöffnungen sorgen für einen von der
Landschaft und den Jahreszeiten geprägten Raumeindruck. Baulich ist die Vinothek durch
klare Formgebungen bestimmt, die mit handwerklichen Details ein zeitgemäß-positives
Selbstbild von Tradition und Handwerk zeichnen. Während das Erdgeschoss von robus-
ten Oberflächen und Sichtbeton geprägt ist, wurde der obere Teil gänzlich mit Weiß-
tanne verkleidet. Eine Lamellenfassade aus Lärche prägt den Innenraum zusätzlich. hs
S urrounded by vineyards, winemaker Lukas Jahn pursues his passion for wine
production at Locknbauer Hof. The place of action is a farm ensemble consisting
of three buildings which has been renovated by Mascha Ritter and combines produc-
tion, vehicle fleet and tasting as well as private living. The hub of the business is the
former “Langhof” building: largely having been rebuilt, it now houses production,
barrel storage, wine sales and a so-called Buschenschank. The latter is a traditio-
nal Austrian wine bar which Locknbauer, however, sees as a tapas bar with wine
accompaniment from its own cultivation. In order to make the vinotheque suitable
for group tastings and numerous other catering events, a guest room was created
that makes full use of the cubature of the long building and, in addition to the main
room, has a gallery with seating and a show kitchen on the first floor with a view
into the production. Other generous openings in the façade successfully produce a
spatial impression that is influenced by the landscape and the seasons. Structurally,
the vinotheque is defined by clear shapes that use handcrafted details to paint a
contemporary, positive self-image of tradition and craftsmanship. While the ground
floor is characterized by robust surfaces and exposed concrete, the upper part is
