BELLA FIGURA
Etwas Show darf in Mailand natürlich auch nicht fehlen!
Viele KünstlerInnen und Firmen arbeiteten daher mit ge-
heimnisvollen Draperien und opulenter Verhüllung.
Meist öffnete sich da der Vorhang für die Bella Figura –
abgerundete, weiche und gefällige Formen, Möbel mit
grazilem Profil sowie in zarten Perlmutt- oder Rosétö-
nen. Auch in eleganter Kombination mit marmorier-
ten Oberflächen, Samt- und sogar wieder Chenille-
stoffen ernteten die zeitlosen Klassiker reichlich Ap-
plaus. Doch es ging nicht nur um den großen Auftritt:
viele Showrooms und Messestände empfingen mit gro-
ßer Gastlichkeit an runden Tischen in temporären Bars
und Cafés sowie mit betont loungigem Ambiente – wie etwa
am Stand von Freifrau mit Sebastian Herkner (Bild).

Of course, a little bit of show is not to be missed in Milan!
Many artists and companies therefore worked with my-
sterious draperies and opulent veiling. Mostly, the cur-
tain rose for the bella figura – rounded, soft and plea-
sing shapes, furniture with graceful profiles and in
delicate mother-of-pearl or pale pink shades. In ele-
gant combination with marbled surfaces, velvet and
even chenille fabrics, the timeless classics also ear-
ned plenty of approval. But it wasn’t all about the
grand entrance: many showrooms and trade fair
stands welcomed visitors with great hospitality at
round tables in temporary bars and cafés as well as
with a pronounced lounge ambience – for example at the
stand of Freifrau with Sebastian Herkner (picture).
