and used either as a seating, standing or lounge platform. The actually ready-made
acoustic wall product Kyoto from Zilenzio was fitted with castors and a bracing, so that
these panels can also be moved around the room. The frame of a hanging system for
foldable chairs simultaneously serves as a bar, counter and sideboard. The transition
from the old to new building is deliberately marked by a change of flooring from par-
quet to screed. Meeting points and coffee corners are located here, as are important
staff utilities such as mailboxes, lockers, printers and toilets. The imposing four-metre-
long reception counter made of concrete-grey Viroc panels separates the central area
from the quieter zone. An equally long, dark green tiled counter on the other side sup-
ports exchange, structures the open kitchen area and adds a colourful highlight. Diffe-
rent shades of green contrast with the rest of the colour scheme and reference the com-
pany logo. The colour intensity increases significantly, underscoring the loud, busy spa-
tial use intended for this meeting space. The busy feel of the communal areas was
translated with an orthogonal but wild arrangement of around 40 Solo tube luminaires
from archxx. In contrast, the quiet areas and individual offices were fitted with less ex-
pressive Occhio luminaires: the dimmable Più alto surface-mounted spotlight and the
Mito volo model. The Sento filo rotatable LED pendant luminaire was used for indirect
lighting of the telephone booths and meeting rooms. The client wanted a homely in-
dustrial character, which we achieved with unclad ceilings, raw concrete walls and vi-
sible cable runs. In addition to the natural and warm look and feel of wood and stone,
the brown curtains create a balanced atmosphere. The furniture is also largely made
of wood, but its black colouring contrasts with the light overall appearance. Grundriss • Floor plan
