of clusters were positioned along the façades. Illuminated as bright as day and all of

they were replicated including their original fittings and panes and installed as the ex-
terior façade surface. On the inside, new, triple-glazed windows with wooden frames
take up the old proportions again.

Open spaces: formerly a principle in production, today in the office

Below the galleries are the service areas of the offices, above them informally furnished
meeting- and privacy areas. The acoustic partitions of the cubicles are colour-matched
to the goat hair carpeting of the galleries. The first upper level is dominated by shades of Grundriss 4. Obergeschoss • Floor plan level +4
red, the second by shades of green. The almost white-painted concrete ceilings and sup-
ports as well as varying shades of grey – darker polyurethane surfaces and bright wood
cladding – produce the neutral background for the subtly coloured furnishing. The basic
structure of the building stock is consistently and clearly noticeable continued in the two-
level floor addition of 2019. Vertically installed, reddish-brown bricks emphasize the hi-
story of the floor additions which the building tells. Behind the façades are two-level
orangeries. Plants for the flavouring-production by Givaudan are growing in these infor-
mal contact zones. In the centre and on two levels – analogue to the galleries of the buil-
ding stocks – are the meeting areas and open spaces of the company management. The
Givaudan offices have been certified LEED Gold. The substantially and aesthetically
Maggi legacy is ready for a long life cycle. And it is still all about flavourings. Längsschnitt • Longitudinal section
