O b rund, eckig oder als Freiform, ob im Büro, im Wohnbereich
oder in der Hotellobby: Die jüngst eingeführte Kollektion abge-
passter Teppiche aus dem Hause Carpet Concept ist individuell und
vielseitig einsetzbar. Erstmals präsentiert wurde Neo zur Möbelmesse
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fare im Februar auf einem von den Düs-
seldorfer Innenarchitekten Raumkontor gestalteten Messestand. Und
da das Büro um Andrea Weitz und Jens Wendland auch für den Ent-
wurf von Neo verantwortlich zeichnet, konnten die Gestalter ihr jüng-
stes Produkt gleich selbst in Szene setzen. Besonders markant sind die,
zur Verfügung stehenden Kanten. Anstelle der gewohnten Webkante,
kann zwischen zwei Varianten gewählt werden: Neo 1 aus Latex oder
Neo 2 aus Kunststoff. Während Latex die jeweilige Form des Teppichs
mit einem breiten, sich stellenweise ausdehnenden Rand nachzeich-
net, erinnert die Kunststoffkante eher an die klassische Einfassung mit
Garn. Je nach gewählter Größe lassen sich im Raum Orientierungs-
punkte oder gar Inseln kreieren, die, mit Möbeln bestückte, zum Treff-
punkt respektive zur Ruhezone im Büro werden. Das modulare System
flachgewebter Teppiche erweitert das Sortiment des Bielefelder Unter-
nehmens und ist in den bereits vorhandenen Qualitäten Eco Iqu und
Eco Iqu S zu haben. Während Neo 1 in Kombination mit beiden ausge-
führt ist, kommt bei Neo 2 lediglich die Struktur Eco Iqu S zum Einsatz.

Derzeit in Planung ist die Erweiterung der Formenvielfalt. cs

the living area or the hotel lobby. The recently introduced collec-
tion of fitted carpets by the Carpet Concept company can be versatilely
used. Neo was presented for the first time at the Stockholm Furniture &
Light Fair exhibition in February at a stand which was designed by the
Düsseldorf Raumkontor interior designers. And since the office headed
by Andrea Weitz and Jens Wendland had also been commissioned for
designing Neo, on this occasion the designers were able to stage their la-
test product themselves for a large audience. Particularly striking are the
edges which are available. Instead of the usual woven edge, there is a
choice of two variants: Neo 1 of latex or Neo 2 of synthetic material.
Whereas latex follows the respective form of the carpet with a wide edge
which widens in some part, the edges consisting of synthetic material
remind more of the classic edging produced with yarn. Depending on
the dimensions chosen, it is possible to create in the room orientation
points or even small islands which, equipped with furniture, become a
meeting point or a rest zone in the office. The modular system of flat-
