GRAU IST ALLE THEORIE

„Nehmen Sie doch ein freches Grau!“, war der berühmte
Ratschlag des Stuttgarter Architekturprofessors Günter
Wilhelm (1908–2004) an seine Studenten, wenn es um die
Farbgestaltung von Räumen und Gebäuden ging. Der Drei-
klang aus Schwarz, Weiß und Grau erfreut sich bei Archi-
tekten und Innenarchitekten nach wie vor größter Beliebt-
heit – zumal als Kontrastmittel zur neuen Buntheit.

“Why don’t you go for a bold grey!” was the famous ad-
vice which the Stuttgart professor of architecture Günter
Wilhelm (1908–2004) gave to his students whenever the
issue was the colour design of rooms and buildings. The
triad of black, white and grey is still highly popular
among architects and interior designers – particularly
as a means of contrast to the new colourfulness.
