N oble Modernität durch klare Formensprache und prägnante Mate-
ri alien erreichen die Architekten von maio und maio mit ihrem
Wohn haus M in München. Der L-förmige Baukörper öffnet sich mit
groß flächigen Fensterfronten zu einem Wohnhof. Im Innen- wie Au -
ßen raum formt glatter Beton mit Rücksprüngen und Niveau unter schie -
den eine nutzungszonierte Wohnlandschaft. Raumbildende Aus bau ten
wie der Küchen tresen verdichten insbesondere im Erdge schoss die
offene Wohn struk tur und definieren gleichzeitig Bibliothek, Wohn -
zimmer, Küche und Essraum als eigenständige Wohnbereiche. Subtile
Akzen te setzten die Planer mit Leuchten von Occhio. In Wohn- und
Esszimmer dienen auf die Wände gerichtete lui-Decken strahler der In-
s ze nie rung von Gemälden und der Schaffung einer ge dämpf ten Grund -
beleuch tung; über dem Esstisch sorgen Pendel leuchten der Serie lei
für ausreichend Licht, und die Arbeitsfläche des Küchentresens wird
mit zwei io sospeso-Pendelleuchten erhellt. Lese- und Tischleuchten
der Serien io und lei sorgen an den Sitzmöbeln in der Bibliothek und
im Wohnzimmer für punktuelle Lichtquellen. Alle drei Leuchten fa mi -
lien gehören zu Occhios 3d-System und reizen mit ihrer puren Geo me -
trie das Potenzial ihrer Form vollständig aus. Überwiegend in mattem
Chrom und Weiß gehalten, ergeben diese ein harmonisches Ge samt -
bild, das mit seinem durchgängigen Konzept die unterschiedlichen
Bedürfnisse im Raum mit höchster Lichtqualität bedient. hs

Wohnaus M in Munich. The L-shaped building opens with extensive
window façades towards a courtyard. In the interior as well as the exte-
rior, smooth concrete with recesses and differences in level forms a land-
scape zoned according to its uses. Especially on the ground floor, space-
structuring installations such as the kitchen counter compact the open
plan and, at the same time, define the library, living room, kitchen and
dining room as self-contained sections. The planners added subtle
accents with luminaires by Occhio. In the living- and dining room, lui cei-
ling spots directed at the walls serve to emphasize paintings and create
muted basic illumination. Above the dining table, suspended luminaires
from the lei range ensure sufficient light and the work surface of the kit-
chen counter is illuminated with two io sospeso suspended luminanires.
Near the seating furniture in the library and in the living room, reading-
and table luminaires from the io and the lei range are selected sources
of light. All three luminaire ranges are part of Occhio’s 3d system and
make full use of the potential provided by their shape due to their pure
geometry. Predominantly chosen in matte chrome and white, they create
a harmonious overall look which, with its consistent concept, serves the
different needs in the room with the utmost quality of light.
