„Thors Hafen“ liegt an der Südostküste von Streymoy, der größten der
18 Färöer-Inseln. Schon die Wikinger wussten die zentrale Lage und
den sicheren Hafen zu schätzen und hielten hier ihre jährliche Parla-
mentsversammlung (Thing) ab. Eingebettet in eine spektakuläre Land-
schaft besticht die Stadt vor allem durch ihre makellosen Gebäude
aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert. Ergänzt durch moderne Architektur,
lebendige Kunst und Kultur sowie eine authentische Küche ist Tórshavn

“Thor‘s Harbor” is located on the southeast coast of Streymoy, the
