F ür die niederländische Triodos Bank galt es sinnbildlich und auch
ganz real, Natur, Kultur und Wirtschaft zu vereinen. RAU Archi-
tects schufen darum einen energieneutralen Neubau, der sich mit
einer geschwungenen Baukörperform maßvoll in die bewaldete Um-
gebung einfügt. Der Bürobau wurde als Holzkonstruktion mit Blick für
zirkuläres Bauen realisiert. Eine vollumfängliche Verglasung verleiht
dem Gebäude einen zeitgemäßen Charakter, der reichlich Tageslicht
nach innen holt und zugleich einen direkten Naturbezug demonstriert.
Besondere Aufmerksamkeit kam bei der Planung außerdem einer
gesunden Luftqualität, einer angenehmen Akustik, einladenden Be-
sprechungsbereichen und einer behaglichen sowie publikumswirksa-
men Raumatmosphäre zu. Um diesem Anspruch im Interieur spürbar
Ausdruck zu verleihen, setzte die verantwortliche Architektin Odette
Ex von Ex Interiors natürliche, regionale sowie recycelte Produkte und
Materialien ein und verlieh den Räumlichkeiten mit verschiedenen Ka-
ramell- und Brauntönen eine warme Note. Ebenfalls als werterhalten-
der und damit nachhaltiger Bestandteil des Innenraumkonzeptes
kamen zudem Möbelklassiker von Thonet mit ins Spiel: Somit finden
sich unter anderem der Freischwinger S 64 V von Marcel Breuer und
der Bugholzstuhl 218 der Gebrüder Thonet genauso wie der Barhocker
404 H von Stefan Diez und das Stuhlmodell 118 von Sebastian Herkner
auf sämtlichen Büro- und Aufenthaltsflächen wieder. hs

F or the Dutch Triodos Bank, the aim was to unite nature, culture
and business – both in a symbolic and in a very real way. For this
purpose, RAU Architects created an energy-neutral new building that,
with its curved shape, moderately blends into the wooded surroun-
dings. The office complex was designed as a timber construction with
a focus on circular building. Full glazing gives the building a contem-
porary character and allows plenty of daylight to enter the interior; si-
multaneously, it demonstrates a direct connection to nature. In addi-
tion, planning paid special attention to healthy air quality, pleasant
acoustics, appealing meeting areas and a comfortable spatial atmo-
sphere that appeals to the clientele. In order to give noticeable expres-
sion to this aspiration in the interior, the responsible architect Odette
Ex from Ex Interiors used natural, regional and recycled products and
materials and gave the interiors a warm touch with various caramel
and brown shades. Furniture classics from Thonet were also included
as a value-preserving and thus sustainable component of the interior
concept: the cantilever chair S 64 V by Marcel Breuer and the bent-
wood chair 218 by the Thonet brothers, together with the bar stool
404 H by Stefan Diez and the chair model 118 by Sebastian Herkner,
can be found in all office and lounge areas.
