„Bankhaus Soleder präsentiert sich

Bank sieht wieder aus wie eine
Bank. Fest, massiv und sicher wie
ein Tresor. Das ist nicht irgendein
Gebäude da am Schloßplatz, son-
dern ein solides Geschäftshaus,
eine feste Größe im Wirtschaftsle-
ben der Stadt, der Region.“
“Bankhaus Soleder presents
itself in a new look. [...] Soleder’s
bank looks like a bank again.
Strong, massive and as safe as a
vault. It’s not just any building on
Castle Square, but a solid com-
mercial building, firmly anchored
in the economic life of the city
and the region.”

6. August 1955 – Morgenpost:
„Ein großer Wurf? [...] Gehen wir
gerne daran vorbei, aus und ein?
Gewiß, hell und freundlich wirkt
die Bank, man sieht im Erdge-
schoß die Menschen darin umher-
gehen. Es hat Fenster, ganz ver-
schiedene Fenster. Es hat Dächer,
ganz verschiedene Dächer. Es hat
Senkrechte und Waagrechte.
Paßt all das Verschiedene zueinan-
der, ergibt es ein Ganzes? Wir wis-
sen es nicht so recht.“
“A great design? [...] Do we like
to walk past it, enter and leave
it? Certainly, the bank looks
bright and welcoming, you can
see people walking around on
the ground floor. It has wind-
ows, very different windows.
It has roofs, very different roofs.
It has verticals and horizontals.
Do all the different things fit to-
gether, does it combine to form
a whole? We don’t really know.”
