This support concept made a shoring of the construction necessary during the building
period until the its frictional connection with the supporting components in the section
of the roof. In order to avoid unwanted sound transmissions caused by the railway traf-
fic, the underground building parts have been separated from the building site with an
acoustic mat. The entire building load rests flat in the stable gravel of the Altdorf village
brook. We planned the room-high bands of windows as pre-fabricated elements. On
the east side of the building, the façade is equipped with ventilation flaps as parallel Grundriss Erdgeschoss • Ground floor plan
quarterlights and, on the side towards the railway, fixed-glazed because of possible
disturbances. Textile marquees ensure exterior protection from the sun. Our concept
for the building technology is based on the sustainability guidelines of the Minergie re-
quirements. The heat demand is completely met with a reversible heat pump-cooling Bildunterschrift • englisch
machine with a technical accumulation that generates energy from the groundwater.
In addition, the photovoltaic system on the roof produces a significant share of the ne-

tage of the transformer station. The individual floors are accessed through continuous
rider zones starting at the respective main distributors located on the lower level.
These lead into sub-distributors which make the generation of flexible functional units
for the individual rentals. The individual installations of building technology are con-
trolled and regulated in their complete functionality with a sophisticated superordinate
web-enabled building-automation overall system. Alarms are recorded and selected
and relayed according to priority. For the lighting, we installed glare-free LED luminai-
