                                                                                     The life-size Netlight horse decorates every location of
                                                                                     the  agile  company  founded  in  Sweden  in  1999.  It
                                                                                     stands for the symbiosis of horse and rider and is to re-
                                                                                     flect the relationship of Netlight consultant and client.
                                                                                     For the new Hamburg location, on 700 square metres
                                                                                     Seel Bobsin Partner have designed an inspiring place
                                                                                     for collective knowledge transfer.



                                                                                     T   he Trostbrücke 1 address in Hamburg is definitely prominent and
                                                                                         suitable for communicating traditional Hanseatic virtues such as
                                                                                     reliability, decency and fairness. That the new location of Netlight is
                                                                                     on the top floor of the Laeiszhof office building which was constructed
                                                                                     in 1898 thus perfectly fits into the concept of the Europe-wide acting,
                                                                                     value-oriented IT company with the focus on consulting services in
                                                                                     technical implementation and in IT management. The company cul-
                                                                                     ture is based on extensive knowledge transfer and the passion of lear-
                                                                                     ning from each other – all this without any hierarchic intermediate le-
                                                                                     vels but by everyone naturally taking it for granted that all the em-
                                                                                     ployees in the company are equal. The planning task for Seel Bobsin
                                                                                     Partner consisted in creating on the about 700 square-metre newly de-
                                                                                     veloped top-floor area a place of encounter and exchange in order to
                                                                                     promote  the  culture  of  the  company  and  to  spatially  represent.
                                                                                     Knowledge transfer is to take place at joint breakfasts, lunches, in
                                                                                     conferences, on large stages, in offices, on the phone, in online chat
                                                                                     boxes, over dinners or at parties. Whereas, in the whole building, the
                                                                                     impressive opulence of the Hanoverian school of architecture can still
                                                                                     be experienced, the goal was to highlight the detailed architecture of
                                                                                     the formerly unused top floor by the targeted application extensive co-
                                                                                     lour accents. Specific building structures are emphasized with strong
                                                                                     contrasts and the wall colours accentuate the individually designed
                                                                                     interiors. Some of the furniture stands out with its minimalist but stri-
                                                                                     king geometrical shape: Simple basic forms – circle, square, triangle –
                                                                                     are repeated design elements. Harmonious colour combinations pro-
                                                                                     duce a stimulating atmosphere which deliberately differs from the
                                                                                     classic office ambience. The furnishing is completely designed for the
                                                                                     agile kind of working which is a must in the company so that there
                                                                                     are  numerous  work  zones  which  can  be  flexibly  configured  and
                                                                                     quickly adapted to the respective tasks at the time. The rooms are
                                                                                     able to “breathe” according to needs and to change, and they also
