                                                                          over a year, the design only takes up what is absolutely necessary in the landscape and,
                                                                          in the end, if it   becomes necessary, provides everything one needs for daily life.

                                                                          Sina Hartmann & Daniela Zang: USO 18.92

                                                                          The design by Sina Hartmann and Daniela Zang does everything differently – here every-
                                                                          thing is visible and hyperreal from the start. The whole range of common plastic furniture,
                                                                          the opposite of good taste, awaits us: a 360 degrees cheap trip around the house. “What

                                                                          thematically well- ordered according to function and absurdly rather pictorially screwed
                                                                          onto the walls outside, do not make much sense vertically. Only once a wall is lowered
                                                                          towards the inside, the incredible enigmaticness of the plasticized banality becomes
                                                                          clear: a choice of steam-cleaned rooms perfectly prepared for a cosy TV evening, a nap
                                                                          on the white terrace classics or a bath in the green room with a view outside becomes
                                                                          available. An extreme direct interpretation of the task and yet, for the user, an invigorating
                                                                          invitation to newly approach everyday living again and again. After plenty of “tiny mono-
                                                                          tony” by zeitgeist projects where “new” only means smaller and harder and the size re-
                                                                          striction is in the focus, here is a design with the makings of a conceptual blockbuster
                                                                          that always stays in the mind. And: here design also comes with a sense of humour!

                                                                          Luzie Koch: Out of the Box

                                                                          Luzie Koch’s design adds calm again to the diversity of the designs. For her, quality
                                                                          consists of a classic approach and the reliable choice of an aesthetic hardware-store
                                                                          product put on a pedestal like in an exhibition. The intelligent layer underneath the
                                                                          greenhouse condenses all the necessary functions of kitchen, bed to bathtub – to be
                                                                          positioned inside or outside. Nature observation is made possible by the greenhouse.
                                                                          Here heavy rain does not become a problem but a visual and acoustic intensifier of
                                                                          the atmosphere – such as when taking a bath under glass. It is also consistent how na-

                                                                          thing is turnkey, including the furnishing, all at a bargain price of less than 3,000 euros
