Ein Begegnungszentrum für Menschen mit nicht heteronormativen
sexuellen Orientierungen wird eher selten an einer Hochschule als
Entwurfsaufgabe angeboten. Kein Grund für Mete Ay sich nicht dieses
vielschichtigen Themas anzunehmen. So hat er es für seine Master-
Arbeit im Bereich Innenarchitektur an der Akademie der Bildenden
Künste (AdBK) selbst gewählt und für die queere städtische Kultur von
München einen neuen Raum entworfen, der den Bedürfnissen der
LBTQIA+-Gemeinschaft entspricht und die soziale Identität fördert.
A meeting centre for people with non-heteronormative sexual ori-
entations is a design task that is rarely offered at a university. No
reason for Mete Ay not to take on this complex and multiface-
ted topic. So he chose it himself for his Master’s thesis in interior
design at the Academy of Fine Arts (AdBK) in Munich and designed
a new venue for the queer urban culture in the Bavarian capital
city that meets the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community and promo-
tes the social identity of marginalised people.
