2 Die prekäre Wohnsituation in Hamburg und der stetig steigende Bedarf an Wohn-
raum für Studierende erfordern dringende Maßnahmen. Das nahe der Univer-
sität Hamburg gelegene Grundstück bietet eine vielversprechende Chance für den
Bau des Studentenwohnheims „The Grid Hamburg“. Dabei geht es nicht nur um
das Bereitstellen von Unterkünften, sondern auch um die Schaffung einer leben-
digen sozialen Gemeinschaft. Das Wohnheim umfasst 25 Mikro-Apartments, vier
Doppel-Apartments und vier Gemeinschaftsbereiche, darunter eine Spa-Landschaft,
ein Fitnessstudio, einen Lernbereich und ein Café, welches das Wohnheim mit der
Öffentlichkeit verbindet und als zentrale Begegnungsfläche dient. Die nachhaltige
Bauweise mit Modulen und einem begrünten Dach ermöglicht eine innovative und
langfristige Raumgestaltung. Die schräge Ausrichtung der Module passt sich der Form
des Grundstücks an und verleiht dem Gebäude eine dynamische Struktur. „The Grid Grundriss Erdgeschoss • Ground floor plan
Hamburg“ schafft eine inspirierende Umgebung für das Leben, Lernen und soziale
Miteinander der Studierenden, indem es ihren individuellen Bedürfnissen und einem
starken Gemeinschaftsgefühl gerecht wird. Die Bauweise kombiniert eine Holzmodul-
und Schottenbauweise mit Stahlbeton, um eine robuste Struktur zu gewährleisten.

arrangement of the modules is adapted to the shape of the property and gives the
building a more dynamic structure. “The Grid Hamburg” will create an inspiring
living, learning and social environment for the students by accommodating their
individual educational needs and a strong sense of community. The architecture of
the building incorporates modular timber and bulkhead construction with reinforced
