F ür die Realisierung des zweiten Lissaboner Standorts der Clínica Dentária de São
Paulo legte das Architektenteam von Sabrab im Stadtviertel Parque das Nações
zwei benachbarte Ladenflächen zu einer Zahnklinik zusammen. Hauptziel der Ge-
staltung war nicht nur die Schaffung eines reibungslosen Praxisbetriebes, sondern
auch die Beschränkung auf einen möglichst kleinen ökologischen Fußabdruck. Aus
diesem Grund wurde für den Innenausbau unter anderem Bambusholz verwendet
und auf energieeffiziente Beleuchtungs- und Technikkomponenten geachtet. Struk-
turell gliedert sich die Praxis in zwei Trakte auf: Der kleinere von beiden dient als
lichtdurchfluteter, hell gestalteter Kommunikationsflügel und umfasst neben dem
Empfangs- und Wartebereich auch das Backoffice und den Personalpausenraum.
Hinter einer Glastür akustisch abgetrennt befindet sich der Behandlungsflügel. Ent-
lang der vollverglasten Fassade erschlossen, lässt die Grundrissorganisation zusam-
men mit dem Wechsel aus holzverkleideten und verglasen Wandelementen trotz
einem hohen Maß an Intimität eine blendfreie, natürliche Belichtung zu. Schwarze
Detailführungen, ein umfangreiches Beleuchtungskonzept und eine Lamellendecke
verleihen der Praxis insgesamt eine wertige Erscheinung, die sich einen im hohen
Maße aufpolierten Industrie-Charme zu eigen macht. hs

F or establishing the second Lisbon location of the Clínica Dentária de São Paulo,
the Sabrab architects combined two adjacent stores in the Parque das Nações
district into a dental clinic. The main goal regarding the design was not only the crea-
tion of a smooth dental surgery operation but also the restricting to an as small as
possible ecological footprint. This is why, for the interior construction, among other
materials bamboo wood was used and special attention was paid to energy-efficient
elements of lighting and technology. The surgery is separated into two wings: The
smaller of the two serves as the light-flooded, brightly designed communication wing
and, in addition to the reception- and the waiting area, also includes the back office
and the staff break room. Acoustically separated by a glass door is the treatment
wing. Accessed along the fully-glazed façade, although providing a high degree of pri-
vacy the organization of the layout in combination with the alternation of wood-clad
and glazed wall elements allows glare-free, natural illumination. Several details de-
sign in black, an extensive lighting concept and a lamella ceiling give the surgery an
overall high-quality look which benefits from the industrial charm which has been
successfully upgraded to a high degree.
