GENERALSANIERUNG DES HALLENBADES IN STUTTGART-FEUERBACH DURCH ARGE HSP/PBR

Seit dem Jahr 2000 steht das Bad auf der Liste der Stuttgarter Kulturdenkmäler, jetzt wurde es generalsaniert. • Since 2000, the pool has been on the list of cultural monuments of Stuttgart; now it was completely renovated.

Zu Beginn der 1960er-Jahre realisierte der Architekt Manfred Lehm-
bruck in Stuttgart-Feuerbach ein Hallenbad, das wie kaum ein zwei-
tes Gebäude in der Stadt den Geist der Zeit atmet. Die Stahl-Glas-Kon-
struktion ist leicht und transparent, das geschwungene Betondach
scheint zu schweben und mit schwungvollem Strich machte HAP
Grieshaber aus dem Bau ein Gesamtkunstwerk! Seit September nun
erstrahlt das Bad wieder im alten Glanz, generalsaniert durch die
ARGE HSP/pbr. Hier stellen die Planer die aufwendigen Arbeiten vor.

At the start of the 1960s, the architect Manfred Lehmbruck desig-
ned an indoor pool in Stuttgart-Feuerbach which exudes the zeit-
geist unlike any other building. The steel-glass construction is
lightweight and transparent; the curved roof consisting of con-
crete appears to float and, with sweeping lines, HAP Grieshaber
turned the building into a total artwork! Since September, the
pool has been shining in its old splendour, completely refurbished
by ARGE HSP/pbr. The planners explain the complex tasks.
