Im Büroalltag den Kopf frei kriegen: Das funktioniert schnell und unkonventionell mittels rasanter Achterbahnfahrt. • Clearing your head in the office: a fast and unconventional way is by taking a rollercoaster ride.

K reativität durch ungewöhnliche Erfahrungen und physische Installationen zu stimu-
lieren, ist das Konzept des Designstudios The Great Exhibition in Stockholm. Mittels
ihres extravaganten Büromöbels „The Frontal Lobe“ – benannt nach dem Frontallappen
des Gehirns, der für Entscheidungsfindung und Kreativität zuständig ist – gelingt das her-
vorragend auch bei den eigenen MitarbeiterInnen. Vier Tonnen rot lackierter Stahl schlän-
geln sich nun über 60 Meter mit einem Höhenunterschied von drei Metern durch Arbeits-
plätze, Küche und Lagerräume des Büros in Liljeholmen. Wem die Ideen ausgehen, der
dreht eine Runde, und schon ist der Frontallappen des Gehirns wieder angeregt. lh

T he concept of the design studio The Great Exhibition in Stockholm is to stimulate
creativity through unusual experiences and physical installations. With the help of
their unusual office furniture called The Frontal Lobe – named after the frontal lobe of the
brain, which is responsible for decision-making and creativity – this also works excellently
with their own employees. Four tonnes of red-painted steel now wind their way for 60
metres, with a height difference measuring three metres, through the workplaces, kitchen
and storage rooms of the office in Liljeholmen. If you run out of ideas, just complete a
turn and the frontal lobes of the brain are stimulated again.
