N achhaltigkeit, Arbeiten in der Zukunft, umfassende Bepflanzung, funktionales und
atmosphärisches Licht – das sind die Leitideen für das 100 Meter vom Kudamm ent-
fernt liegende Innovationsbüro. Nach den Entwürfen von Barefoot Bros. Design, gegrün-
det 2014 von Nik und Til Schweiger und Marcel Graf, entstanden auf 270 Quadratmetern
vier Arbeitsplätze, zwei abgeschlossene Chefbüros, ein großzügiger Empfangsbereich mit
Empfangs tresen, ein Konferenzraum und ein Archivzimmer. Das Büro erweitert sich um
eine voll ausgestattete offene Küche mit Loungebereich, Esstisch und Gartenzugang.
Zusätzlich wurde die anschließende Wohnung in die Büroeinheit integriert – so steht
auch ein Gästezimmer für Geschäftspartner zur Verfügung. Insgesamt wurden über 190
Objekte wie Stühle, Schränke und Leuchten eigens für das Projekt entwickelt und pro-
duziert. Durch die Verwendung von emissionsfrei verklebtem Bambus als Grundmaterial
der Möblierung und des Fußbodens konnte der ökologische Fußabdruck minimal gehal-
ten werden. Unter dieser Leitidee wurde auch bei den Polsterarbeiten auf natürliche
Stoffe zurückgegriffen, sowie das gesamte Büro mit hochwertiger Lehmfarbe gestri chen.
Bei den besonderen Oberflächen in Beton- und Valisersteinoptik handelt es sich um min-
eralische Kalkputze. Die Materialkombination aus Bambus und dem schilfgrünen hoch -
florigen Teppich unterstreicht nicht nur visuell den Gedanken der Nachhaltigkeit.

S ustainability, work of the future, extensive planting, functional and atmospheric
light – these are the central ideas behind the innovation office located 100 metres
from the Ku’damm in Berlin. According to the concepts by Barefoot Bros. Design,
founded in 2014 by Nik and Til Schweiger and Marcel Graf, four workplaces, two par-
titioned off executive offices, a generous reception area with a reception counter, a
conference room and an archive were implemented on a floor area of 270 square
metres. The office extends to accommodate a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with
a lounge area, a dining table and access to the garden. Additionally, the adjoining
apartment was integrated into the office unit so that a guestroom is now available for
business partners. In this process, more than 190 objects like chairs, cabinets and
luminaires were specifically developed and produced for this project. By using emis-
sion-free glued bamboo as basic material for the furnishings as well as the flooring,
the ecological footprint was kept minimal. On the basis of this central idea, natural
fabrics were used for the upholstery, and the entire office was painted with high-qual-
ity clay paint, while mineral lime plasters were chosen for special surfaces with con-
crete and stone look. The material combination of bamboo and the reed green high-
pile carpet emphasise the sustainability concept.
