H ände desinfizieren ist in Zeiten von Corona zu einem selbstver-
ständlichen Akt geworden. Warum sollte man dies nicht stilvoll
tun? Der dänische Armaturenspezialist Vola arbeitete daran und entwi-
ckelte gemeinsam mit Torben Madsen, Architekt und Design Manager
bei LINK Arkitektur in Aarhus, den RS 11, einen berührungslosen Spender
für Desinfektionsgel, Schaum und Flüssigseife, bestückt mit einem Zer-
stäuber. Vola-typisch ist der zylindrische Aufbau. Die Auffangschale greift
die Designästhetik der runden Kopfbrause des Unternehmens auf. Der
formschöne Spender ist in drei Konfigurationen erhältlich – freistehend,
zur Wandmontage und als Tischmodell. Elegant fügt er sich nicht nur in
Badezimmer und Waschräume ein, sondern auch in die Rezeptionen
von Praxen, Hotels, Restaurants und Büros. Denn er ordnet sich dezent
unter, fällt trotzdem positiv auf und passt sich farblich an. Gefertigt ist
der Zylinder aus stranggepresstem Aluminium. Erhältlich sind die gegen
Fingerabdrücke resistenten Oberflächen in Schwarz und Weiß. Alle an-
deren Komponenten werden in den 27 Vola-Farben angeboten – ein-
schließlich der acht Oberflächen der exklusiven Farbenserie. Architekt
Torben Madsen resümiert: „Unsere Absicht war es, ein wiedererkennba-
res Vola-Design zu schaffen, das jede Umgebung mit einem Qualitäts-
stempel prägt.“ Über einen Liter beträgt das Fassungsvermögen, sodass
sich die Nachfüllintervalle in Grenzen halten. Vier AA-Batterien betrei-

A t times of corona, disinfecting hands has become a natural act.
Why should one not be able to do this in style as well? Vola, the
Danish fittings specialist, has been working on it and, together with
Torben Madsen, architect and design manager at LINK Arkitektur in
Aarhus, has developed the RS 11, a touchfree dispenser for disinfectant
gel, foam and liquid soap, equipped with an atomizer. Typical of Vola
is the cylindric construction. The catch tray takes up the design aesthe-
tics of the round overhead shower by the company. The well-designed
dispenser is available in three configurations – as freestanding, for
being mounted on the wall or as a table model. It not only fits ele-
gantly in bathrooms and washrooms but also in receptions of doctors’
practices, hotels, restaurants and offices. This is because it discreetly
blends in yet succeeds in drawing positive attention and adapts regar-
ding its colour. The cylinder is made of extruded aluminium. The sur-
faces resistant against fingerprints are available in in black and white.
All the other components are offered in the 27 Vola colours – including
the eight surfaces of the exclusive colour series. Architect Torben Mad-
sen sums up: “It was our intention to create recognizable Vola design
that puts a quality stamp on every setting.” The capacity is more than
one litre so that the refilling intervals are manageable. Four AA batte-
ries run the dispenser. Corona design at its best!
