Herzog & de Meuron – 1978 von Jacques Herzog und Pierre de
Meuron in Basel gegründet – ist als Global Player längst eines der
einflussreichsten Büros der internationalen Architekturszene. Die
gebürtige Berlinerin Camille Gbaguidi hat noch vor der Corona-
Zeit ein 15-monatiges Praktikum in der Basler Homebase absol-
viert. Sämtliche nationalen und internationalen Projekte nehmen
dort ihren Anfang. Was sie im Büro und in der Schweiz lernen, er-
leben und entdecken durfte, spiegelt dieses Interview wider.

As a global player, the Herzog & de Meuron architectural office –
founded by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron in Basel in 1978
– has long been one of the most influential offices of the interna-
tional architecture scene. Still prior to the corona pandemic, the
Berlin native Camille Gbaguidi had completed a 15-month trainee-
ship at the Basel home base. This is where all the national and in-
ternational projects have their beginning. This interview reflects
what she has been able to learn, experience and discover there.
